| Abstract: |
Sixty-four nasal funtional surgeries have been done to evaluate the nasal splint eficiency in preventing nasal synechia formation.
We used the nasal splint in thirty-eight (59,4%) patients. The nasal splint rested for 10 days and these patients were evaluated with 10, 20, 30 e 60 days. Synechia was present in 23,7% patients with splint and in 23,1% without splint.
We concluded that there is no difference between both procedures, regarding prevention of synechia.
